NIYLA’s ‘Many Voices, One Future’ Applications Open!

NIYLA’s ‘Many Voices, One Future’ Applications Open!

Hi there!
It has been an exciting few months at NIYLA. We’ve been on the road holding our ‘Stand Strong, Stand Together’ Leadership Forums across Melbourne, Sydney and Darwin with Indigenous students. In fact, we have just returned from engaging 25 students in Wagga Wagga in NSW, where we were kindly hosted by Mount Austin High School. It was a wonderful day and we are looking forward to our forums in Tamworth, Rockhampton and Townsville this month!

Applications have opened for our ‘Many Voices, One Future’ National Academy for Indigenous students in grade 10, 11 & 12.

Do you know any Indigenous students that would be interested in meeting other likeminded and passionate Indigenous young people from across Australia and developing their voice on issues that are passionate about?
Find out more information and apply here >>
Our National Academy will bring together 50 Indigenous young people that are passionate about leading positive change across Australia. It will be an incredible week in Sydney with our team of young Indigenous facilitators that will support our young people to develop national campaigns supporting social issues that they are passionate about. These issues will range from climate change, suicide prevention, positive body image to Constitutional Recognition.
Share this opportunity with Indigenous young people in your network!

This month we are kicking off our new ‘Laneway Leadership’ series! We will have interviews with Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians sharing their thoughts on leadership and young people. First up is our very own Marc Sutherland, NIYLA’s Project Coordinator. Check it out!

Keep up to date with NIYLA by signing up to our ‘Values in Action’ monthly updates

Hope to catch you next month!
Benson Saulo NIYLA Director
PS: If you know someone that would like to hear more about our work please encourage them to sign-up to our updates as well!
