Community Announcement: Brisbane Workshop – MAKING SENSE OF VOICES

As part of Mental Health Week, ISPS Australia has partnered with the Brisbane Hearing Voices network to provide an opportunity for the emerging Hearing Voices groups to hear from Debra Lampshire, who will visit Brisbane on her way back to Auckland after a speaking tour, which has included Poland, Denmark, UK and USA.

The Hearing Voices Collaborative Presents A Special One Day Workshop: MAKING SENSE OF VOICES
Facilitator: Debra Lampshire – Expert By Experience

Debra Lampshire is a prominent leader & mentor to others within the service-user and clinical movement in New Zealand & a well-known trainer, educator & advocate within national & international mental health services. Debra is the current Chairperson of the ISPS New Zealand and a board member of ISPS International Executive Committee.

Workshop aims: to explore ways to help voice hearers and their families make sense of their voices; to explore ways to work alongside voice hearers to develop tools and coping strategies that work; to promote recovery and reduce stigma.
