SURVIVAL DAY MESSAGE FROM HABITAT PERSONNEL

Habitat

Aboriginal leader Gerry Moore deals with long term, entrenched unemployment every day, he says its time to focus energy and resources on the problem.

Australia’s long term unemployment has doubled since 2008. Over the next five years there will be, based on very conservative estimates, a quarter of a million long term unemployed. Its a problem the country cannot afford. We must start to look to long term solutions. This is the vision of Habitat Personnel based in Nowra and Canberra. They are now working on a whole of life plan which they hope will be embraced by five generations of Yuin and Ngunnawal people from the very young to the very old.
